BANANA CINNAMON TEA RECIPE FOR DEEP SLEEP (WORKS BETTER THAN SLEEPING PILLS!)

We’ve all had nights when we toss and turn, unable to fall asleep for more than a few hours. The more you worry about not sleeping, the more your mind races, and next thing you know, the sun is peeking through the window. I’ve spent one too many nights this way and needed to put an end to my poor sleeping patterns. I came across this delicious tea recipe and it improved my cycle completely.

Sleeping issues or insomnia originates from problems such as depression, stress and anxiety. Almost always when I went to bed, my mind was preoccupied with work, family, or just the things that I need to do the next day. When the mind is active and you’re not relaxed, you cannot fall asleep.

Medications also cause insomnia – heart pills, blood pressure pills, pain meds and antihistamines can all be part of the problem. They may make you drowsy at first, but later they will trigger frequent trips to the bathroom or anxiety, adding more fuel to the fire. Whether it’s this, or you’re just addicted to your phone before going to sleep, something needs to change immediately.

BANANA TEA
The banana tea is prepared easily, tastes great and most importantly, works great. Bananas and their peel are rich in potassium and magnesium, minerals that prevent sleep disturbance and relax the muscles. However, when preparing the recipe, make sure you buy 100% organic bananas – if they’re not organic, the bananas may be full of pesticides and other chemicals.

The tea can be prepared in less than 10 minutes and you can sip it every night before going to bed.

INGREDIENTS
1 organic banana
1 small pot of water
A pinch of cinnamon to taste

PREPARATION
Cut off both ends of the banana and put it into the pot with boiling water. Boil the mixture for 10 minutes, then strain the water, and sprinkle the cinnamon on the tea if you want. Drink the tea one hour before bedtime.

You can eat the boiled banana too – just sprinkle some cinnamon on it, and eat the warm, gooey fruit for a nice, healthy treat before going to bed.

Why sleeping pills are bad
Almost half of the American population suffers from insomnia, so many people try sleeping pills as a last resort. However, they won’t help you in the long-term. They are only a temporary fix that can cause a habit and certain issues.

Most sleeping pills are specific drugs that induce sleep. They’re classified as sedative hypnotics. Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium) and barbiturates are the most popular sleeping pills. However, benzodiazepines can be addictive and they treat anxiety disorders by causing drowsiness. Barbiturates on the other hand, depress the central nervous system and are often used as anesthetics and sedatives.

Sleeping pills can cause numerous problems such as constipation, dizziness, difficulty focusing and remembering, stomach pain, weakness, shaking and parasomnias. They can disrupt the breathing rhythm, slowing it down, which can be dangerous if you’re suffering from asthma or COPD.

How sleep deprivation affects the body
Less than eight hours of sleep is a big problem for the body. If you sleep for less than eight hours overnight, the cognitive function will be impaired, and processing even the simplest things can be a challenge. You will be unable to focus and concentrate, and your emotional responses will be twisted. The scariest thing is that sleep deprivation has been linked to diabetes, obesity and even cancer!

It’s important to find out the underlying issue of your sleep deprivation, and work hard to fix the problem. This tea is a 100% natural solution, and it worked wonders for me. Try it yourself – you have nothing to lose!
